Victor Adeyanju DE 6'4 274 Indiana

Playing at Indiana does not allow you to draw national attention, but that does not matter to pro scouts. They have known about Adeyanju for some time, and know he is a big time college end and pro prospect. He ended his career starting 43 straight games, dating back to his freshman season. That year he had 33 tackles, 4.5 for loss, and two sacks. As a sophomore the numbers were similar, going for 31 tackles, five for loss. As he gained more experience, he stepped up his play a bit and finished with 40 tackles, 9.5 for loss, and three sacks as a junior. Adeyanju had his best season as a senior, finishing the year with career highs across the board with 47/12/6.5.

Outside of Mario Williams, there may not be a more talented defensive end from a size and talent perspective. Adeyanju has very good size, checking in at 274 at the combine, and he still has room to grow. He combines that size with very good athletic ability, quickness, and closing speed. He gets a quick jump off the line and routinely gets pressure on the outside despite being the man to stop on the Indiana defense. He also has a lot of experience, starting in the Big 10 for four seasons.

Despite his experience, Adeyanju is a work in progress. He will need time to develop all his skills rather than rely on his physical gifts to make plays. He has not gotten the best coaching, and has always had to face double teams because his team was not very good.

Victor Adeyanju is a guy who may go a lot higher than most project. With his upside and pass rush potential, teams could fall in love and grab him at some point in the second round. He has the talent to be an all around end, and a pass rush force in the NFL. If given some time to develop, the team that selects him could be very happy.
