Reggie Brown WR Georgia 6’1 194
By: Robert Davis

Reggie Brown came to Georgia with a lot of acclaim, but didn’t start to live up to his potential until his junior season. During his first three seasons, Brown totaled 42 catches for 486 yards and 3 touchdowns. That included a true sophomore season that was ended after three games because of an ACL tear. He received a medical redshirt, giving him that year back. As a junior, he made 49 catches for 662 yards, and 3 touchdowns. He ended his career with his best season, finishing with 53 catches for 840 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Brown is a solid all around wide receiver. He has a solid build, and is sturdy enough to go over the middle. He is a very good athlete and can go up and snatch the ball downfield.

A lot of Brown’s weaknesses are shared by his teammate, Fred Gibson. Brown does not always play up to his ability, and does not always play with his full intensity. He also has the tendency to let the ball hit is body instead of catching it with his hands. Brown has also had some hamstring problems throughout his career, that could become a problem.

Reggie Brown is a solid prospect, but he does not stand out in any respect. He did a solid showing at the Senior Bowl and has appeared to solidify himself as a second rounder. If he continues the momentum he has built from a solid senior year and solid showing at the Senior Bowl, he may hear his name called at the end of the first. At times he has proven to be a very dependable target who can do a lot of things, he just needs to show it more consistently.
